I just downloaded CC 842 on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6. I was already running CC 8 and it was operating fine before this download. It will randomly freeze. If you close the program, it will ask if you want to save changes, so at least I can save it. The other major issue is that in the toolpath page, you can not scroll down to the ok/ cancel button. The only way to get to it is to change the resolution to 1680x1050 and then everything is so small. Default is 1280x800. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times, but it continues to have the same issue. Any ideas?
Does Monterey meet the system requirements?
OS/X 13 or higher (Apple Silicon)
I would suggest reverting back to the version which was working.
Im guessing that would be the issue, as this is an Intel Mac. I didn’t catch that. I know I was running version 8. If I go to older downloads, it shows the link below. If I download it, it will not let me drag it into applications, because it says it isnt compatible. It will let me load version 7. Is there a list of version 8 builds besides this one?
This download is the latest release of Carbide Create V8 for Intel Macs.
Carbide Create V8 Build 849 (OS X 10.14 or later) Build 849
When I parked my old Intel MacBook Pro, Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6, I was running CC Beta 843 with no problems at all.
My screen res was set to 2560x1600 on the 13.3" display. It worked well.
I noted 849 as not working on my Intel Mac a while back:

843 is the last version I can recall working on my MacBook:
and a quick check of the .dmg shows 842 working as well and I can’t recall any freezing with it (but obviously, I don’t use my Mac much these days since my Wacom One quit working with it — need to sort that out or replace it) but I’m running Sequoia (macOS 15):
Maybe 838 will work for you?
My early 2015 wouldn’t take anymore OS updates. At that point I knew I was going to get left behind.
Thank you. 838 Seems to be working. I guess its time to go laptop shopping.
