Hi every body I decid to make a new topic to share all my shapeoko xxl improvement!
I am not a master in CNc but I try to do my best to make a better machine!

1 I make an dust end sound enclosure box

2 make my own clamps
First attempt fail cause the plexiglass sheet was not enough fix on the wast board
Second attempt fail cause the dust make the belt xcariage jump.
Third was the good one!

Dust is a real problem and vacuuming is not an option!!!

couple of things - how come you have 2 vacuums? I do very much like your dust boot - I’ve been thinking of making one. Can I assume the top clip/mount that holds the hoses uses the vacuum hoses to support the bottom bit too?

I tried putting a similar foam in my case but found it held too much dust.

Also on your clamp mounts it looks like something has gone wrong? You don’t have smooth round edges?

Uploading…. I hop this two pictures will answer to your questions ! The bottom part slide on the top part , so whenever the dust shoes go up the bottom part stay in contact of the material. I have to put some gentle spring to make it more efficient. I don’t understand your question about my clamp…

What did you design the cut boot in?

By splitting the suction hoses in two - does it not reduce the suction?

The ends of your clamps do not look smooth and round but like your cutter is jogging?
