A Tip for cutting lightweight plastics

Well, at least one for getting them to stay put…

I had been using double sided tape but some brands just don’t want to come off the polycarbonate or whatever it is I’m cutting, when I’m finished. Comes off the waste board but leaves a real mess on the item being cut.
Now, I know about the superglue and painters tape method but aside from not having any to hand, was worried that it would seep through and ruin everything.
The solution I found was to use masking tape on the back of the plastic and then add the double sided tape. Tape grips well but then the masking tape peels off without a trace. Just what I needed!
