So I have a 1.25inch/31.75mm surfacing bit I wanted to add to tool library and use to surface a board.
I added the tool, and created a pocket tool path, zeroed the machine and reset x,y,z axis, but when I go to run the file, it starts no were near the surface. It’s above by about 2 inches.

Did you define your stock zero from the bottom? Setting Z zero at the top would offset the path in Z by the thickness of your stock.
No I am using top of stock in setup module. And it goes up more and .75 which is confusing me like the tool addition is wrong

This is strange, it looks fine in NCviewer, surfacing at -0.5mm as you asked. Did you restart Carbide motion and rehome the machine after disabling the bitsetter?
