That was what I was trying to understand earlier - why does the job need such a long end mill?

I was concerned that it wouldn’t fit on the Nomad - others have had trouble with long reach end mills - but more concerned that such a long end mill makes a decent F&S impractical. The “stick out” causes a defection that is HUGE (for the diameter) at even very slow rates.

Now that we know your job and you can “choke up” on the end mill, let me know the final length and stick out distance and I can run some F&S again. A picture of the chopped end mill would ensure that I get the geometry correct.
