Advanced V carve

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. It worked on a previous file, but now it doesn’t. Using the Advanced vcarve… I want to remove .2 in. from the bulk of it while leaving the 50. then from the . 2 point, I want to flat bottom vcarve the words. So I set the start debth at .2 and max to .05… when I change the start debth, the tool path goes empty. In the Jay and Lisa file, this worked just fine. I cant find the difference other than the debth of the cut. Thanks!
House sign is the problem file… Jay and Lisa is the one that worked

You have max depth less than start depth:

Increase Max Depth to more than the start depth and it will then cut.

Of course🤦‍♂️… thanks

Will I’m a newbie.
I am trying advanced carving and I used Wilsons video (https://youtu.be/RHFiaUhQLqc)
My problem is I do not get prompted for tool change. The machine rises about .5 inches above the work and then nothing. If I try to jog, I can get to the screen for jogging but no buttons work.

The Pocket clearing option in Advanced V carving in Carbide Create only works with a BitSetter.

I guess you’re assuming I don’t have the bitsetter.
I do have the bitsetter. I used it exactly as Wilson used it in that video.

When you initialized the machine, did it go through the cycle and check the bit that was in the spindle? Then loaded, job set x,y,z, it checks bit and Starts job.

Did all those steps happen?

affirmative.
The moment it paused and it did not rise above the surface high enough or prompt me to change bits is where it was different from wilsons video.

Also, I noticed that the feed rate with the 1/8" bit was not consistent. Not sure if that is a factor in my problem.

I initiated the machine. 1/8" bit already installed. After initiation the machine shot up to front center. I confirmed bit was installed. It shot over o bit setter, did its thing then moved back front center.
I jogged over to current xy. I used the probe to find Z. removed probe. started new job.
Turned on router and the bit started the job but stopped after the pocket cut. The router lifted up and thats where it ends.

Hi Will,

Did you have another suggestion?
I would really appreciate it.

Thanks
