I have been using Affinity for quite some time. The price is quite nice compared to Adobe subscription model. With Affinity you buy it and you own it. With Adobe you rent it and recently Adobe updated their TOS to say that they can use your files any way they want. I suspect they will be training their AI with your designs to replace you.
So Affinity has several products but Affinity Design is most useful for creating custom SVG for use on your Shapeoko/Nomad.
Check out this line while everything is half price.
Recently Affinity was purchased by canva but everything so far is business as normal. canva is an online site for design and printing. https://www.canva.com/
Affinity has 3 components that you can buy separately. Affinity Designer is a versatile svg designer graphics program. Affinity Photo rivals Adobe Photoshop to manipulate photos and other graphics. The Affinity Publisher integrated the designer and photo together to produce multimedia things like advertising and other graphic output. You can buy each product as needed or all 3 and the Publisher integrated the other two into one application. So regularily about $70.00 they are each about $35.00.
If you want off the Adobe tread mill then check out Affinity. There are tons of tutorials on youtube for Affinity and they have a lot of live training sessions.
