After 1 cut out when go back to do second bit hammers bit setter

Ok do first cut by using corner of stock with a paper for distance and zero all.
the machine does fine when i go to do next it hammers bit setter and have to stop and manualy lift off bit setter very frustated over and over several months nothing done
