Amana 30 degree engraving bit

Hello- Am I able to use an Amana 30 degree engraving bit (45771-k) as the second tool in advanced v carve. The 90 and 60 take too much off even at 0.0004 depth? Thank you.

Yes. I have used that,
Just configured it as a V but. I don’t really understand your use case though. What does it look like in the simulation?

This tool is entered as an engraver in Carbide Create, so won’t work for V carving toolpaths.

I’ve been using it with the following V tool definition:

(which settings you should test as appropriate to the material you are cutting).

Hello Will. I want to purchase 2 downcut bits in the hope of getting cleaner surface lines, the 102 and 112 leave a lot of wood fraying. Anyway- I was going to get the Amana 46200-k and 46313-k. I want to add them as a new tool, do you have the definitions for both of them like you sent me for that 30° bit? Thanks again for all your help.

The Amana 46200-K is listed already:

The 46313-K is a downcut, but with slightly different geometry than a #251 — use that as a starting point and test?

Excellent. Thank you again
