Has anyone tried using the Diamond Drag on Anodized Aluminum?
Yes, on coloured anodising, it left a really sparkly silvery finish which contrasted well.
I’m not sure it would pop if you were dragging on natural colour anodising.
Dragging on clear anodized should show ok under direct lighting.
If I had to guess, enough to be readable but not enough to be an aesthetic feature.
Diamond Drag on anodized aluminum works great. Here’s a sample on black, which is part of an instrument panel I made for a friend’s Kitfox airplane.
This is what I’m looking to do, where are you finding the anodized aluminum & what sizes?
Thank You
I bought it from onlinemetals. Here is a link:

Funny story…I first bought some (supposedly) anodized aluminum on Amazon. When I diamond-dragged it, the coating came off in big chips. So they lied - it was painted, not anodized.
You can trust onlinemetals though - good stuff.
Where are you finding your anodized aluminum? Been looking at OnLineMetals good stuff but not enough choices when it come to colors. Thanks
Sorry for the delay in responding, it’s Bass chasing season. The last ones I purchased are these. Ebay is a good source too.
