I had tried linoleum before with ok results, but had issues with it fraying at the top and needing a lot of cleanup.
I purchased some of the linoleum blocks from inventables here and had much better results.
The blocks from hobby lobby were much more rubbery than these which I think made them more susceptible to fraying.
