Anybody glue down the magnet on the Bitsetter?

That’s probably a dumb question to ask but it occurred to me this morning when playing with the setup on my machine (before the great smoke-out incident of 2021).

I put in the Bitzero alignment stock and was using that but ever time it would go to the Bitsetter it would lift off the magnet. It didn’t do that with the #201 install just the flat bottom of the alignment stock.

Since the Bitzero is probably best used with those pins to find the true corner of a workpiece I want to make it a habit to use it instead of an endmill.

I used high quality, double stick tape.

300 LSE TAPE

+1 on the double sided tape. Sticky enough to prevent the bit from pulling it off, but easy to pry off yourself.

if you ever end up hitting the piece with a spinning bit (sigh.) you’ll be happy that it is replaceable

Somehow my search terms didn’t bring up that thread but thanks!

This works for me, I’ll try the tape approach.
