Anyone have a spare 65mm sweepy?

I had an unfortunate situation happen last night where the metal housing broke around the collet lock button. I hadn’t changed the bit or tightened it in 3-4 jobs and it hadn’t raised any concern. I’ve only had my xl since April.

In any case, the button came apart while I was running a job and flung all over the place causing he sweepy boot to get knocked off and eaten up by the bit. A 201 bit also broke in the process. I’m kind of shocked honestly. I’ve had the Makita counterpart to this carbide router for a few years and I tighten and loosen it the same way and have never seen any issues. I do like the carbide router in the cnc so I’m hoping this one can be fixed or replaced.

I’ve emailed carbide support but haven’t heard back from them. I’m not concerned about that as they’ve always gotten back to me quickly. But they are out of stock on the sweepy dust boots in 65mm right now and I’m impatient.

Anyone have a spare sweepy boot that they’d be willing to sell?

I just got an email from Jorge. I thought it was strange that I didn’t get the usual “your request has been received” email. I sent it last night and then this morning again because I hadn’t gotten the confirmation email. But his email did include my chains from before. I may have sent it to sales on accident somehow.

Anyways, as usual you guys provided great customer service and made me super glad I picked the shapeoko over anything else. Thanks again!

I appreciate that a lot, carbide 3D responded and it looks like I won’t be needing a spare after all. Thanks anyways!

Wow, sorry to hear about the “unfortunate situation.” But you did remind me that I need to order a 65mm Sweepy as I just purchased a CC Compact Router and forgot that it’s smaller than the DEWALT that I’ve been using!
Thank for the heads-up!
