There are a fair number of folk using Aspire w/ our machines — it should just be a matter of selecting the correct post-processor.

New Post-Processor for Vectric software

I have updated the old v4 Carbide Motion ATC Post Processor (PostP) to v5a. It adds toolpath name and tool number display to Carbide Motion STATUS display line in place of the PostP code ID stamp. It also replaces that old code ID stamp with english text so it is meaningful. It was developed with a Shapeoko Pro. Vectric supplied post processors work flawlessly. I owned Aspire before I purchased a Shapeoko, so I never actually tried Create…cannot compare them.

I dont have Vetric but understand the Aspire is the pinnacle of their product offerings. People that use Vetric say it is intuitive but the Aspire is top of the ladder in complication. So for the price you have to commit time to learn it. One thing about Vetric is if you buy products lower down the tier you can upgrade by simply paying the difference and dont have to start over. So maybe the Desktop version to see if you like it and upgrade as necessary. Vetric was built from the ground up for carving on a CNC. Things like F360 was not built for carving wood but certainly works for that.
