Not arguing your point about the manual shows the 4x4 vs the 2x4, it also states to start this process from the front of the Y axis rails. The 4x4 has 5 sets of holes, the last set are for the wire keepers.
thanks Tim. I actually used the Carbide support line, then email, then Facetime with the support folks (all of them friendly).
There were more than a dozen backs and forths, all easily prevented if the manual had been correct. I donât mind putting things together, but this is new territory, and stuff was simply incorrect or missing.
I only found this forum because of Reddit. Last step is this afternoon, will shout if it doesnât work!
Absolutely, Iâm working midnight shift so I will be up after 4 pm today. Let me know if you need something or that you made some wood chips today. The C3D videos are very helpful to get started.
How about on pg. 21 (Square the Machine) you add a line that simply says " measure the diagonals and make sure it is square".
Wouldâve saved me days of aggravation it took to figure out why it sucked
Not to mention loosening 109 screws and then putting them back tight againâŚsheesh
If I remember correctly, the C3D assembly video shows them doing just that?
I followed the manual for squaring, once complete I was 1/32â out of square. Which means I only needed to correct 1/64â on one plane and then dead on.
There is ton of info provided on the C3D website once you select the machine you intend to buy.
Again, Iâm not saying that instructions couldnât be improved. But there are numerous documents/videos that are available for the assembly process.
