Just completed the build of my SP XL, but Z limit switch wiring colors between male and female connectors do not match. Black brown blue to green red black, I would feel better if at least the black wires lined up.
Do I need to flip the connector and if so how? I’m not sure how to release the pins from the connector.
The standard wiring colors on proximity switches come are not usual standard wiring colors where Blue is GND and Black is Signal. The Shapeoko extension harness uses the more common Red for +V and Black for GND. Did something not work correctly?
You shouldn’t have to. It requires an unnecessarily expensive little tool and it is a destructive process, so you’d have to crimp on a new pin. If the switch doesn’t work correctly, contact C3D support and they’ll fix you up.
