Belt Wear? Or Just Gunk?

Hello,

I’ve noticed some marks on my spindle belts - please see the attached pictures. My eyes aren’t that good, so I can’t tell whether it’s wear or just gunk. I’ve only had the Nomad for about 10 weeks and have only used it a few hours per week. Any suggestions?

That looks to me like where they spliced the belt.

Those types of belts are heated and fused together.
