Planning to rebuild my exiting bench. Have added the 65mm VFD spindle. Plan to keep the VFD away from the action…i.e., not on top. want the top clear except for the computer. Anyone have some examples?
I mounted my control box underneath my bench against the side — would probably do that on the other side if I got a VFD.
Mine is mounted underneath the table below the back right side under the main cable bundle.

The table is in the garage right now, its final home is in the woodshop. Needed to get it set up and running first. I might remount the VFD on the wall facing the front of the table once in the shop. Maybe, I have not seen the need to constantly monitor spindle RPM.
Cable management will be completed at that time as well.
