While not usually described as affordable (but I would say a good value), I will note that Festool vacuums have a static-dissipative/conductive hose which mitigates EMI — similar hoses are available from 3rd parties. I use one from Fulton and special-ordered one from Woodcraft ages ago:
and will note that a straight 2.5" hose is a lot quieter than the typical tapered one Festool normally includes and works much better than the smaller size included on some smaller shop vacs.
Had a the dewalt stealthsonic with a Home Depot dust stopper pro on my shapeoko 5 pro for almost 2 years now and love it. Have it on a vacuum switch so as soon as the spindle turns on the vacuum turns on. It’s quiet and efficient
I use the Beast Vacmaster 5.5 gallon (Amazon or Lowes has them, a home depot/lowes or Harbor Freight 5 gallon bucket with dust stopper pro on top and also an auto shutoff switch. Works great! It fills up fast when making a lot of pocket paths.
I use an inexpensive WEN dust collector and it works like a charm with a flexible hose. Only things you have to keep in mind is heavy volume and/or full bag can clog the intake, just need to clear the clog and resume. Has happened about twice to me a year. Other thing is if it stops working without a clog, you almost certainly just need to replace carbon brushes which are a cinch to do and cost next to nothing on amazon after you’ve used your free included replacements. That happens once a year.
It should go on sale for Black Friday soon I would think.
I just use the cheapest grizzly wall mount and split it off with a Y so I can use a separate hose and brush for cleaning up areas of the machine and I have an overhead hose that hangs down to sweepy.
I am finally up and running, thanks to Gary I have done a cabinet of sorts for the vacuum,I can not get the de Walt one where I am,and ended up taking home a Sthil vacuum to try for an hour and wow it has very good suction and is quite compared to my Ryobi,I am surprised.Today I have just finished a 2.5 carving and survived that very well
