We have been been testing out different bits and depths to carve this image and can’t seem to find exactly what we are looking for.
Any suggestions on a recommended bit and depth to carve this with. Contour or Vcarve?
Thank you!

A Vcarving, as deep as is necessary should work well. A more acute will cut deeper.
You may need to flatten the wood/stock you are working with, but this seems like a great application for the 60degree v-bit. Advanced v-carve if you have a bitsetter would be good here, but certainly not required.
What machine do you have, what stock are you working with, and just to clarify, but you want to engrave this image into wood, and not cut the object out, correct?
Thank you for your reply. We are using poplar and red oak. We have shapeoko 4 xxl and yes engrave. We do have a bitsetter.
Thank you for your reply.
I also forgot to mention that we are doing this on a smaller scale than the pic I attached. The measurement is actually 4" x 6".
