Best CNC Router Machine for Woodworking & DIY Projects – Expert Advice

I’ve been researching CNC router machines for the past few days because I want to start making custom signs, furniture pieces, and other woodworking projects at home. I’ve read reviews on Maker forums, woodworking websites, and YouTube channels, and these two machines seem to be recommended quite often:

EDIT: Links and descriptions of two competing machines deleted.

However, I’m having trouble deciding which one would best fit my needs. I’m looking for a CNC router that is accurate, easy to assemble, reliable for long projects, and capable of cutting wood, acrylic, and other common materials. I’d also like something that has a good upgrade path as I gain more experience.

If anyone has used either of these machines, I’d really appreciate your feedback. Which one would you recommend, and are there any pros or cons I should know about before buying?

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

I’m curious. Why would you ask a question like this in a Shapeoko forum without including the Shapeoko? I don’t have any experience with Genmitsu or FoxAlien, but I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Carbide 3D customer service, the helpfulness of the forums, and the quality of the Shapeoko 4.

The answer to that is this person is a spammer who was patient enough to work through the protocols which we have in place to block such behaviour. That said, mostly it works.

They have been silenced, so will have to repeat the process with another e-mail address and account before we hear from them again.
