I am wondering what is a good colorant to use for epoxy inlays? Saw the post from 2022. I want standard colors, no metallics. I tried using white acrylic paint but as you can see in my project it didn’t show up the same everywhere it was used.
White, or any really light colors are tough. I now paint the lighter areas with white paint before pouring light colored epoxy. I’ve been using Mixol liquid & it works pretty good.

I like the liquid dyes rather than the mica powders. The color seems more uniform to me.

I do quite a bit of epoxy resin casting and use Alumilite dyes and mica powders along with Alumilite resins. Both the dyes and powders work great depending on my choice of colors. I wouldn’t use paint.
The other thing that I will often do with signs or plaques like that is add a final layer of Table Top Pro self leveling resin over the top. It is easy to do and adds a glass like surface over the top. Very cool
