I just installed a bit setter and HDZ on my machine and am loving it. I use a threaded table so working from the base has added accuracy and speed to my bit changes. I am trying to figure out one thing though. I do a lot of repetitive tasks with jig. Pop a piece in, cut, take it out and put in another. The bit setter checks the length everytime I start the job. I figure that is by design but if I’m not changing the bit, is there a way to change that? Just comment something out in the gcode?
Uncheck the box in settings for Bitsetter and do it the old fashioned way. You don’t have to use Bitsetter, it will all work just fine without it. Your welcome!
Yes, like @jfandr said, you can just manually remove the first M6 command and save it. You can even edit yourself a PP if you wanna use it for your jig jobs.
Or like @CrookedWoodTex said, just uncheck bitsetter while cutting those jobs.
If you see carbide motion show a “tool” it found an M6 command, if it doesn’t you are good. I’ve been removing the M6 commands when I am running a new tool path with multiple files.
