Bitsetter and Bitzero Installation - HELP!

I am trying to connect my bit zero and bitsetter utilizing the adapter board provided with the bit setter. The male end on the control board has 3 stabs, and the female of the adapter board has a 2 female socket and a red single female socket. I have an image attached as a reference. When i try to connect the 2 female socket to the 3 male plug, it doesn’t work. I have not been using both at the same time, instead plugging and unplugging the bitsetter and bitzero.

Jason:

You may want to make this little box for mounting the splitter PCB on the outside of the controller enclosure. It solves the problem of stuffing too many wires into a small space.

Did you attach the red wire to a 5v pin?

Neil:

To whom are you asking your question ?

I did not mention wiring because I am using a 3rd party touch probe which only uses two wires. It does not have the LED. I did not want to add to the confusion.

That was meant for @JayHef.
The BitZero and the BitSetter both require 5v to function. He’ll need to connect the red wire.

I think that is my question. Where is the 5v pin? I plugged the 2-female plug into the plug where my bit zero was and then plugged the red cable to the top pin. When I get home I’ll send pics. Sorry not very clear in what I’m saying.

Yes each one works when plugged in

Where do I connect the wire?

There are two 6-pin isp headers. Pin one is your 5v.
That would be the top left in your pic.

Either will work, the bottom one turns on with the machine and is the one C3D suggests.

This is how I connected it, and it still does not work. Do I have the plug in the wrong spot (2 wire plug from the board?)

In your red ellipse, are there 4 pins there? The last two are feedhold, the two next to the limit switches are probe.
As @jepho suggested, do you have a 3 wire connector in your BitSetter box?

I have version 2.4e.

I never received the 3 wire plug, only the legacy adapter. I bet this is my problem! Man I am feeling silly. Maybe I should have looked for that .pdf before wasting everybody’s time and just trying to figure it out on my own. Thank you everybody for your help.

I connected it the above highlighted port and it worked! I am still going to get the 3 wire plug, but at least I can use my bitsetter and bit zero on future work until I receive the 3-wire plug.

You guys are awesome, thank you very much
