While waiting for my spindle to get here I decided to load up an old router and get familiar with the machine. Tried to figure out how bit setter and Bit Zero work but after choosing to load a new tool then it gave me this error. Wiring looks correct switches seem to work correctly not sure what to do. When I press Bitsetter down, the green light comes on, the bitzero is green and isn’t touching. If I ground probe to the face it turns red like it should.
BitSetter and BitZero use the same Probe input.
It should work that:
- BitZero ground lead is not touching the body (or any ground), BitSetter button not pushed down — BitZero shows green and BitSetter shows red — machine should be ready to go
- BitZero ground lead is touching body (and is grounded) — BitZero shows red, and BitSetter should show red as well
- BitSetter button is pressed — BitSetter shows a green light in addition
Where are your BitZero and ground lead and are they touching? Is the BitZero body touching ground?
If I unplug my Bit Zero from the front Port then bit setter works properly. When I plug bit zero back in I get the same error. Am I not able to use both of them at the same time? The ground is not touching anything and the light on Bit Zero is green if I touch the lead to the face it turns red like it’s supposed to but if bit zero is plugged in then bit setter will not work and I get the error.
Please contact us at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll work out what is wrong w/ your BitZero and how to handle it.
I have along with multiple photos. I was only able to post a single one here because I’m new. As of right now, both are unable to be plugged in at the same time.
