Bitsetter doesn’t know where it is

I have a shapeoko 5 pro and I just got into being able to initialize the machine. Now when I initialize it tells me to change out the tool and then tries to find the Bitsetter in the back right corner of the machine. The Bitsetter is located in the front right of the machine. It will push into the bed and then say that it couldn’t find the workpiece. If I push the Bitsetter when the z axis is going down, it thinks it finds it.

Sounds like you need to configure your bitsetter.

The BitSetter position is set during the machine setup wizard:

and it has to be found as a part of initialization.

If thereafter it can’t be found it would be because the machine has lost stops due to some mechanical or other issue.
