Occasionally, I forget to attach the Bitsetter ground. If this occurs doing X-Y or X-Y-Z setting, it is not too bad since the finding routine times out. But if you are doing only Z, the machine attempts to punch a hole through the Bitsetter. It would be nice to have a (possibly optional check) for the ground, by asking the operator to touch the probe to the Bitsetter to confirm the ground, before proceeding with the finding procedure.
I think you are referring to the BitZero.
When you select the probe cycle you want to use a message pops up with 4 things to verify before clicking ok. One of those is “Verify probe is active (Red on contact)”
Not exactly the wording you are looking for but it’s the same thing

Thanks, but I’ve managed to ignore that on occasion. What I’m looking for is option that does not allow you to proceed unless you actually do it, that is the software needs to see it go red and then back to green before proceeding.
