Hoping someone can make a suggestion. All of the sudden I am having issues with my Bitzero 2. This has been working great for about 2 years. Every time I probe I get the following error
GRBL Alarm Code 4
the probe is not in the expected initial state
The strange part is it begins probing fine going right to left but fails each time immediately after touching the front edge of the bitzero and beginning to go towards the back. The red light does illuminate as it touches properly.
This is a Pro 4 XXL. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have rebooted everything, reinitialized, tried several bits, and made sure nothing is touching any other parts of the machine. Also made sure my connector is tight.
One issue I ran across was the blue painters tape leaving a film on the bit (yes I probe with the bit sometimes). I actually had a piece of tape in the Bit zero one time. So you might have a foreign object on the probe or Bit Zero.
For some reason this problem has gone away by itself. Odd but its gone and working correctly. I didn’t do anything different other than wait two days to try again. Ohh well.
