Just thought to mention a small bug to save others from damaging their BitZero. The issue applies to running BitZero very close to the upper limit of Z-axis travel (HDM w 220V spindle in my case) and using corner probing. Normally after the X / Y is done, the machine will zero the Z and retract the tool above the BitZero before moving the spindle to the BitSetter. If the spindle is very close to the limit of Z travel (top), JUST enough that jogging the spindle will allow the tool to manually clear the BitSetter by a couple of mm, the corner probe routine fails to retract the tool above the BitZero. In my case it crashed the tool into the BitZero and gouged it. Luckily the damage is not in a critical area and BitZero is still fully functional. Perhaps this can be investigated and remedied in the next version of CarbideMotion.
I love the HDM by the way! Definitely the best Shapeoko is you want to machine soft metals.
Thanks!
