This is a gift for a friend who always generously loans his gear when we go into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota. His last name is Sawyer, but the outfits is just a droll nod to his generosity.
The black line is the first epoxy-as-color-fill I’ve done. Cheap pen epoxy.
The legal entries to the park are marked by a copper wire inserted and sanded.
Lakes carved with a 60V bit and a interior pocket. Painted and covered in water poly. Then sanded. Big lakes also got waves added with toilet paper and wood glue.
Great work I like the combination of the different materials… I think I see a live edge in one of the photos! Please post a finished project picture I would like to see that.
