Brass Fist Pendants

I created these brass BLM pendants as a gift for a few friends of mine. I wish I was able to get better pictures, but I had to get them in the mail. I left them both unpolished because the machining gives them really nice luminance – but I did add a couple of layers of lacquer.



The heart is made with a 90-degree engraving bit and was a pretty quick job.

The round pendant was considerably more challenging to get right (I went through many test runs with a synthetic wood block). The starburst pattern around the fist was made with a 1/16 ball cutter and a combination of leaving enough material on the roughing step and playing with the radial angle.
