Hi, we have a shapeoko 5 with VFD and I’d like to buy some Carbide 3d cutters, specifically the McFly flattening bit, I see you were trialling simplified UK delivery but on the US website there’s no country field in the shopping cart. Can we buy cutters from the US website for delivery to Scotland? If so how does it work and what’s the delivery time? We are UK VAT registered if that makes any difference. Robosavvy doesn’t have a great selection which is why I’m looking at the US site

It would depend on the option, but assuming fedex economy, it’s 3-5 days to me.

You realize there is nothing special about the carbide 3D bits right? The bits they use are generic and not high end. Try

Thanks mate, yes I do realise that, there are plenty of UK suppliers of carbide bits. Doesn’t matter really but it was just to match the bits already loaded in the Carbide 3D software to get started with it, saving a little messing about. Cheers for the helpful reply though.
If I have a non C3D endmill of the same size and type, I just copy the C3D endmill and change the name in the tool file. That way I don’t have to try figure out the S&F for it.
Also, most reputable bit makers/sellers provide the speeds and feeds in a format that you can easy add to the program of your choice.

Actually, our bits are a little ‘bit’ special (could not help myself). They are exceptionally high-quality end mills.
We’ve tested hundreds of endmills over the years, and we only offer what we consider to be the very best.
