Can a 4 axis unit be used with Carbide Create Pro?

I’m looking for future plans once I acquire Create Pro. I would like to try decorating the outside of turned goblets

CC doesn’t work with 4th axis or a rotary axis. That may change someday, but I wouldn’t buy it in the hope it might.

One enhancement that’s been asked for a lot is to project a 2D toolpath onto a 3D shape.
With this extra feature you could trace text on a 3D model of the goblet.
This does not move the 4th axis, I have to do that myself by indexing it. I used 30° index to engrave one section at a time.
For full 4 axis you need a software that tracks a variable tool axis & has a post that will convert the tool axis to your A or B axis.

Take a look at Transpiration Turning’s Lathe Engraver’s open source software. I’m starting to try to determine if it will work with a regular 4 axis machines (X, Z, A only, most likely), the author’s comment was “It’s open source, go ahead and try it”. It’s intended to simulate a Rose Engine and may not be what you want but check it out.

Scorchworks G-Code Ripper may also do what you want, it can take Cartesian G-code and wrap it onto a 4th axis. I don’t know how either would handle a non-cylindrical shape like a goblet without specialized hardware.
