Is it possible to use Mach 3 on a Shapeoko 3?
No, Mach3 is a controller (hosted on a computer) to directly drive stepper motors, while the Shapeoko has its own controller running GRBL firmware to do that. A Gcode sender is used to talk to GRBL.
There may exist twisted ways to make Mach3 talk to a GRBL controller, but that’s probably a very awkward setup.
If you wished to do this, it would require removing the controller and replacing it with a breakout board and a computer with a parallel port connected to it running Mach 3.
