Can I save zero positions for a job on the NOMAD?

I am using a fixture to position the part I need milled on the NOMAD. Can I save my zero position for this particular job ? The Carbide motion material says to record the position and the jog to it ( see step 4). I was wondering if I could save call up that position (i.e. X-380,Y-380) in the software ?

The home tutorial says:

  1. Change the bit in your tool (let’s say it’s a 1/8″ ball nose)
  2. Power on your machine and re-connect with Carbide Motion
  3. Run the homing cycle ($h)
  4. Jog to your offset (X−380, Y−380)
  5. Zero your X and Y axis (with the “zero” buttons)

Thanks,
Tom

What version of CM are you using? Recent versions have ‘Quick Actions’, which still need you to enter the values, but at least it’s saved in CM for later use.

Thanks for the response: I am using Build 566

Or use CMLauncher

Thanks for the shout out for CMLauncher. I need to give it a face lift.

Thanks. Will give this a try
