Using carbide create pro with the latest build. My question is whether there is a way to create a tool path that will carve on a 3D project. How to carve the stars onto a wavy flag as an example.
I have seen other software do it. I am not sure if CC Pro has that capability.

No, Carbide Create Pro does not have this capability — you will need to model the stars into the 3D object and cut as a part of that.
A work-around would be to probe the 3D object and then map the cut to that.
