Can you program a separate project while cutting

I was wondering, If you are running Carbide Motion and you are in the process of a cut, can you minimize that and work on a separate project in carbide create ?

Yes, but it is best to use a different computer instead.

Thank you. New to this and still learning. A second computer is something i didnt think about.

If you create a project in CC and start cutting it in CM you can edit the cutting project and save it again and not effect the running gcode/.c2d file. It seems that the file is loaded into memory and sends only small bytes via usb to the Shapeoko machine. As @WillAdams said you can certainly work on another project at the same time. If you had a minimum configuration you could run into resource problems but not likely. CM is very light on computer resources. CC is a little more demanding on computer resources but still not a hog.
