I am having issues with dado dimensions not matching what I programmed in Create. I have checked belt tensions and made sure the machine, 3XL, is square.
I have found my router is .017 out. If I check above the collet it’s dead on. I also cleaned my collet and measured with a new bit.
Any ideas?
If your Carbide Compact Router is under warranty (12 months) check in at support@carbide3d.com and we will work out how to handle this.
Collets and the nut can go bad. You may want to try replacing those and see what happens.
If you can check the shaft inside the collet seating area look for any burrs or other obstructions. then check the run out inside the collet. If it is still dead on as your test above the collet then you collet and nut could me damaged. Remember the collet is tapered so align the dial indicator to reduce any deflection that will give you a false reading.
