Carbide Create ability question

New to all things CNC and CAM but purchased a Shapeoko Pro with the hopes of cutting leather with a drag knife.

I have purchased 2D templates which I’ve been able to use to cut out acrylic pieces to trace around on a laser cutter and apparently this isn’t exactly the same process.

I watched a video on Doneks website where the person was saying in their software, Vcarve, they use a “lead in” feature to help bring the knife in straight to the cut path instead of trying to manually align the knife and then drop the blade in.

Also. In really tight corners there’s a “fillet cut” feature which basically turns the blade 180* degrees so it can orientate itself to do the turn without tearing the leather.

Are there such similar features in Create? Do I need to get a different software to make my life easier when cutting leather or should I outsource these templates to someone else who can do this for me?

Thanks!

Carbide Create does have Ramping as a Pro feature:

At this time it does not have a feature for doing cornering moves (when I’ve had to do them I’ve hand-coded the G-code).
