We spent some time investigating crashes that appear to occur in the Qt framework we use. We cannot duplicate most of them, so we took some educated guesses on how to fix them.
Also, a reminder to add your name and email when submitting a crash report so we can reach out for more information or to let you know if we get a fix posted.
A couple times I’ve had CCv8 crash, but it’s been few & far between. It’s been impressive,
Lately though I’ve been doing a bunch of small piece cut-outs & noticed a quirk of the contour toolpath - it seems to always leave nested cuts until last. These aren’t necessarily designed as nested cuts either but a result of the closed vector bending back towards itself too close for the tool diameter & the toolpath creates a nested cut. I’ve found this to be somewhat of a problem as the larger piece getting the nested cut may already be cutout & potentially not well secured to the bed anymore - even using tape & CA glue. So if there was any changes to be made to the contour toolpath, I would suggest that nested cuts be performed first instead of last.
