I am new to CNC and even newer to Carbide create and I need to set tool paths to cut some section to the outside and some to the inside to allow for the router bit dia.
I cant for the life of me see if it is an option in the free version.
When doing a contour cut, CC compensates for the tool diameter. You can cut inside of the line, outside of the line or on the line.
Right click on the tool path and select edit
Under tool path settings you will see Offset Direction
Use the dropdown to select
Inside/Left
Outside/Right
No Offset
Thankyou I found the issue why it wasn’t working, the file had very small open vectors and it caused strange results
