Are you saving the file locally on the PC, or are you trying to save it on a network attached storage?

CC in general works well. If it did not you would hear about all oer the forum. Now that does not mean you are not having a problem but it likely localized to your machine.

The default for Windows when you shutdown is to save the kernel state and then upon boot up it reloads the same kernel over and over again. The kernel is the heart of almost every operating center. The same thing happens on sleep/hibernate.

When you start having weird problems with Windows:

When you click “Shut Down” on your Windows PC, Windows doesn’t fully shut down. It hibernates the kernel, saving its state so it can boot faster. If you’re experiencing computer problems and need to reset that state, you’ll need to restart your PC instead.

So if there is something wrong with the kernel which is the core of your operating system you will keep having the problem untl you restart.

On my Windows 11 HP Laptop I changed my Windows settings so each time I shutdown the kernel state is not preserved and get a fresh load on every boot up. It takes a few seconds longer to boot up and shut down but just a few seconds more. My machine boots up incredibly fast.

Just a restart can help and separate if you have an application problem with cc or an operating system problem on your computer.

I had the same issue on my Win11 box. If you installed CC v7 before March 15th, try upgrading to the latest version (build 756). Doing so solved it for me.

Good luck!
