Carbide Create Pro Build 815

My CNC machine is a Genmitsu pro 4030 with the 6060 extension. When I design with Carbide Create Pro Build 815, I have to pick a machine choosing from a limited list. I randomly chose Nomad Pro. My question is which machine is the best match for my Genmitsu 3040 ?

The Nomad and Shapeoko post processors are only for C3D machines. You need to pick Basic G-Code or GRBL. If you choose the Nomad or Shapeoko post processors they will not function properly on a 3rd party machine. The Shapeoko/Nomad have several built features that are not compatible with 3rd party machines. The reason you have the pro version of CC is you have to save individual tool paths as individual gcode files to work on your machine. Change to one of the two listed above.

I do save my tool paths in G code and GBRL. It’s just when I set up a new design and there’s a list of boxes under job. Material, Machine, Retract height, and units. In the drop down of the machine box the choices are only Shapeoko and Nomad choices. One has to be picked. I haven’t had any problems getting projects done.

The Machine Type selection in Job Setup doesn’t do anything beyond serving as a reminder of what sort of machine a job was set up for/advertising for Carbide 3D’s machines.

Thanks That’s what I sorta figured.
