Carbide Create Pro Issue

Hi all,

Running Carbide Create Pro build 815.
When I save files to continue working later the file won’t open with saved data. It is just a blank working space when opening the saved named file? No toolpath’s or shapes is saved but the saved nc file can be cut out in Carbide motion.
Anyone seen this?

Are you saving in a filepath with includes a non-ascii (7-bit) character?

Please try saving in a filepath, using a filename which only includes [a-z, A-Z, 0-9, _, -] and the path separator for your platform (/ or ) and if need be, a drive letter separator for Windows :

I wonder…in regular CC, if you try to save with the toolpath window open, it acts like it saves but it doesn’t. I have to go back to the design window. A possibility?:person_shrugging:t3:

In my experience that works as a save — could you provide a step-by-step for a change which is not saved when one does this?

V8 won’t let you save if a toolpath dialog is open. However, if you are in the simulation panel you can select “Save” and it won’t save.

Thanks yes tested that also after saving toolpath too. It saves but is nothing in it when opened

Try without any space characters as well?

Please let us know the entire filepath and filename and let us know step-by-step:

  • what you did
  • what you expected
  • what actually happened

and we will try to look into this with you.

Are you just saving the gcode (.nc filename)?

Hello Will, can I share a video in some way from both C V815 and C v778? Have same issue in both. Can’t open upp saved c2d files saved. I can save to NC and run in Carbide Motion but quite frustrating not being able to adjust the files when needed (have to make new NF file every time). Running Windows 11 latest build and updated in Windows update. This problem started when I bought and started to use the “Pro” version never before.

Yes I do because the only way to be able to run in Carbide motion for me. But when there is a need to edit the project I have to re-do the work in Carbide Create and save to NC. (Problem started when i bought “Pro” version). Been trying with both V7 and V8 same issue…

Yes does not matter. I have recorded two videos if I can share in some way?
