So, are you using Windows operating system? If so, carefully follow the images I attached above to create the faded black to white stripes. Look at the positions of the sliders for Thickness and Opacity and the colors used in each picture. Use only gray colors with the spray can. As far as i can tell, there is no way to make the file “grayscale” in Paint3D, but it doesn’t seem to matter. Once you have that, save it as a .PNG or .JPG image file. Once imported into Carbide Create as a texture, the dark areas will be raised and the light areas lowered.
