Carbide Create v853 and WineTricks

Looking to see if anyone has/is experiencing this issue.
I am currently running Linux Kubuntu, with WineTricks installed to allow for running Carbide Create (Free) Windows version 843 on Linux from it’s own CC_v8 folder.
I download CC (Free) version 853 from website to my Downloads folder.
Within WineTricks Explorer I double click the install CarbideCreate-853.exe program and get an indication that it completes successfully. I can then navigate to new folder CarbideCreateV8 and then navigate down to file carbidecreate.exe (file size 20,555KB). I can double click on the .exe file and absolutely nothing happens (that I can see). I can still navigate over to my CC_V8 folder and double click on carbidecreate.exe and version 843 loads up with no issue, and carbidecreate813.exe loads up with no issue. I’ve installed numerous prior versions of CC following the same process on multiple computers and never had this issue. FYI…I’m having the same issue on another similarly configured computer. It’s been so long since I dealt with a true Windows environment I’m at a loss for where to check next…
Any other WineTricks users out there experienced or solved this issue? Thanks in advance for any assistance, suggestions or directions given…

You can check the changelog for version numbers, but we recently updated from Qt5 to Qt6, so that might be a hint at the root cause.

As a follow-up…I was unable (couldn’t figure out how) to make changes to WineTricks as it relates to resolving my problem. In reading various post here on the forum about Linux usage, someone (apologies for NOT naming names) referenced their use of PlayOnLinux. I installed PlayOnLinux 4 and was able to successfully install, and then add both CC853 & 854 free versions. These are now running seamlessly on my Kubuntu OS. I think this will be my “emulator” of choice going forward for running Windows apps on Linux. Well…until Carbide3D has a Linux version of CC???
Once again this forum scores a BIG WIN for me on resolving an issue! Thanks Community for all of your help!
