Carbide Motion 557 - Now with previews!

ah, ok. so not a new thing.

I can make a second tool, that’s probably safest. I want to get an actual carbide drill bit anyway instead of the 1/8" end mill. thanks

Please be careful when selecting tooling, and ensure that it can be safely used in the machine at the speeds which a trim router will turn it at, and at the feed rate which the machine can advance into material.

That extra ) is triggering the error.

Will where can I fid what you posted

This saved my bacon today.
I am running a sign for our community garage sale. first section just says Garage Sale, the second has the days of the week. I loaded the days of the week and saw the 60 Degree tool was showing twice for the run. I think to myself that is weird it is an advance v-carve but it should only be one cut with that bit.
I go look and I forgot to disable the first group when I saved the gcode.
THANK YOU for this feature.

It would be cool if while the file was running you could see the image of the file and where it is in the process of the job.
Just a thought.

I just stumbled onto the Bitrunner lack of router speed change dialog box. This is kind of a big deal, we are just going to run without Bitrunner option selected (even though it still turns the router on/off {weird}).
If your job required different spindle speeds after a tool change, it should prompt the user to do the change. I wonder why anyone would run with Bitrunner option turned on?
Even with Bitrunner we still ask the users to turn off the router on the switch as a double safety check.

As a fix I would have the dialog box that prompts to install XXX tool to also say “set the router to 18000 rpm, router dial position 3”.

Thanks.

The preview is a cool touch. When it first popped up, the ‘jog’ option wasn’t visible. I closed the pop-up preview and the jog option still wasn’t there. I loaded a project…still nothing. I tried again, and whatever I did differently must have done the trick, since ‘jog’ was there and worked fine. May have been just me.

Just asking, did you resend the machine config?
