Carbide Motion Beta 636

“Disable feature P.”

What is this?

Can i put in a request to clean up the bitsetter workflow? Stop going back to the probe after measuring the tool, or at least put some control behavior options in so we can pick.

That is part of the new workflow, so it’s not likely that we’ll change back…

Everything else you guys changed on it was an improvement and the increased speed is welcomed, but there have been a few threads on that specific motion that doesn’t make sense.

If i’m just powering up to run something. Things look like this:

I initialize the machine, not measuring the bit on startup I think is fine. I think that was a redundant/unnecessary action.
I will then either load a tool or usually the probe pin.
Next i’m going to load stock and then probe, increased speed on this function is appreciated.

I’m not sure why we are measuring the tool/probe after a Z height probe, we just loaded a tool a few minutes ago.

Then we are moving back to the probe location, which again makes no sense, we’re done probing, we have our x,y,z, the next thing we are going to do is probably run a program, so that means measuring/loading a tool, so the spindle being near bitsetter makes sense.
