Like the last Create beta, we took a shot at trying to fix a few crashes we saw deep in the Qt code that we were not able to duplicate.
Please try 653 at Carbide Motion Beta Downloads if you’d had crashes when loading a file or connecting to your machine.
Also, a reminder to add your name and email when submitting a crash report so we can reach out for more information or to let you know if we get a fix posted.
Thank you for putting the time into this update. Hopefully it resolves file load disconnects. C3D’s effort in this is really appreciated.
That one is specifically one we worked on. It appears to be OpenGL-related for the live 3D window, so we now hide the 3D view if there’s a problem initializing the graphics.
@robgrz any chance the “turn off spindle/router” message at the end of a job has been looked at for return to CM? There’s a few posts on the forum about it but I’ll just link this one:

I don’t think we have a strong opinion on that one. We do know that, historically, anytime there is an extra button to click that isn’t strictly required, people complain A LOT.
Did you try out the beta?
I hear you on the complaint department but this was a feature that existed in a previous version ( I don’t recall which one off the top of my head).
I haven’t tried the new Beta yet…working on my next design then I’ll have at it
