Hello Carbide 3D Community,
I’ve been encountering some frustrating issues while trying to use Carbide Motion on my new laptop. The software installs without any error messages, but when I attempt to connect and operate my Shapeoko, the system doesn’t respond as expected.
The Main Issues Include:
- The machine homes successfully, but any jogging or operational commands don’t seem to register.
- Occasionally, I get an error stating, “No configuration found for the attached machine.”
- The interface sometimes freezes, forcing me to restart the software to try again.
Steps I’ve Tried So Far:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Carbide Motion.
- Verified that my laptop is detecting the USB connection properly.
- Updated all drivers and ensured my system software is up to date.
- Followed the setup instructions from the documentation, but the same issues persist.
The laptop I’m using is a relatively new 14 inch AMD laptop and has no trouble running other similar software, so I’m unsure whether it’s a compatibility issue or something I’ve overlooked in the setup process.
I’ve searched through the forums and found a few posts describing similar problems, but none of the solutions have worked for me so far.
Has anyone else faced a similar issue? If so, were you able to resolve it, and how? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your guidance!
